Clearly, you'll want to use your best judgment on matters like these (and you certainly seem to be), but the contest does state: "Thematic content should include this CHIC’s theme ‘undone’ in any creative fashion you see fit." Can we have fake drugs and alcohol in the movie if it is saying they are wrong and is an important part of the story. If we are to participate in the contest we need all the rules not just that people not going to chic can't be in the credits. This seems to me, an odd statement, particularly because the amount of people required to make a quality film is far greater that the amount of people able to attend chic. Also as in any student film the only reason to be in the film is to have your name on it. If this statement is but a technicality to distinguish the people partaking in the film that are going to attend chic, then one would assume, that this could be distinguished differently than leaving other hard working actors and such out of the credits. Most importantly, can the other participants of the film be given credit elsewhere? I'd be grateful if you would clarify this issue for me.
