I'm waiting to hear about more official rules, but you have the thumbs up from me to depict drug and alcohol abuse. Clearly, you'll want to use your best judgment on matters like these (and you certainly seem to be), but the contest does state: "Thematic content should include this CHIC’s theme ‘undone’ in any creative fashion you see fit."

I'll post again when I get additional feedback.

From Paul Johnson, Mainstage Director:

Thank you for your questions. We are interested in encouraging as much participation from CHIC attendees as possible, and would like to give appropriate credit to those individuals. If you would like to give credit to those not attending CHIC, please do so in a manner that distinguishes them from those that will be attending CHIC. It simply allows us to identify those individuals in our midst who helped create the film.

Can you plz answer my question as to what are all the rules. Can we have fake drugs and alcohol in the movie if it is saying they are wrong and is an important part of the story. If we are to participate in the contest we need all the rules not just that people not going to chic can't be in the credits. Please respond so we have time to re shoot scenes of the movie if nececary.

In the film contest description above it states "Only students registered for CHIC can be included in the credits". this sugests others can work on your film but cannot be given credit. This seems to me, an odd statement, particularly because the amount of people required to make a quality film is far greater that the amount of people able to attend chic. Also as in any student film the only reason to be in the film is to have your name on it. If this statement is but a technicality to distinguish the people partaking in the film that are going to attend chic, then one would assume, that this could be distinguished differently than leaving other hard working actors and such out of the credits. Most importantly, can the other participants of the film be given credit elsewhere? I'd be grateful if you would clarify this issue for me.

What are the terms and conditions involved in me entering a film. More Specifically will chic obtain any rights to my film if I enter it in this contest.
