During your week at CHIC, you will have the opportunity to participate in a unique, hands-on service project that will benefit feeding programs all over the world, including Asia.

CHIC is teaming up once again with Feed My Starving Children, an organization dedicated to feeding those who suffer most from malnutrition and hunger. Throughout the week, there will be two-hour work sessions in the afternoon available for you or your group to participate in. During each session, you will serve by packaging meals.

Space is limited, so pre-register as an individual or as a group.

High school students are eligible to attend CHIC if: 1) they will complete grade 9, 10, 11 or 12 in the 2008-2009 school year AND; 2) they will be at least 15 years old as of September 1, 2009.

New for CHIC 2009: Each registering church will receive ONE free registration – $500

• They can use this for either students or adults
• The church will not receive a check—their account will be credited one registration
• It is up to the church to divide it among their attendees. For example, they can break it up so 5 people get $100 each; or 2 people get $250 each; or 10 people get $50 each
• If a church chooses not to use their free registration they can designate it to another Covenant church of their choice. Please consider the special needs that may be present in new church plants, predominantly ethnic churches, or rural churches. You know your neighboring churches best, so let’s help one another in our particular areas of need.

A note for churches in the Canada Conference: Please send your registrations to Shauna Bennett in the Conference Office along with your payment. The Conference Office will submit your registration and payment (in US funds) to the University of Tennessee. Please also note that your registration fees will be at par, so you do not need to convert your payments based on the current exchange rate. Please contact Shauna if you have questions.

Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are a great way to support the student in your life on their journey to CHIC 2009. These may be used to pay for CHIC registration fees or CHIC Excursion registration fees only. No refund will be given for unused portions of the gift certificate. When using a gift certificate to pay for CHIC registration or excursion fees mail this certificate along with other group payments to the University of Tennessee. Excursions

The University of Tennessee will mail Excursion Registration information AFTER you send in your CHIC registration forms. Go to the Excursions page to see what excursions are being offered.

Airport Shuttle Service

If you will be flying to CHIC, you will need to arrange for transportation from the airport to the University of Tennessee. Shuttle services are available if you choose not to rent a vehicle. The form for airport shuttle services will be mailed to you AFTER you send in your initial group registration form. We now have the prices for shuttle services from nearby airports, so take these into consideration when deciding which airport will give you the best prices.

The price for the Nashville service is lower than it was in 2006, and the price for Atlanta service has remained the same.
